Our goal is to help parents, children, and families through our tips, columns, resources, and books. We believe that the best prospect for a child's happiness is a parent content and confident with the parenting job.

Dr. Roger W. McIntire and his wife Eileen own and manage ParentSuccess.com. Dr. McIntire received his M.A., followed by his Ph.D., in Experimental Psychology from Louisiana State University. He worked in the Psychology department at the University of Maryland for 32 years, serving first as a Professor, and then as Associate Dean. He led courses on a variety of topics, including behavioral modification, psychotherapy, and family and couples counseling, and received the Excellence in Teaching Award.
In 2001, he was presented the Award for Effective Presentation of Behavior Analysis in the Mass Media by the Association for Behavior Analysis. He was also honored as a National Institutes of Health Research Fellow and in a National Science Foundation Faculty Fellowship on Societal Problems. Dr. McIntire and his wife raised four children and now have two grandchildren. They carefully choose the books in their store based on their helpfulness and practicality.

Eileen Haavik McIntire is a professional writer, editor and aspiring novelist. Her nonfiction articles have appeared in national magazines, including Popular Photography, Highlights for Children, and Motor Boating & Sailing. Currently, she is membership director for the Maryland Writers Association, member of the Independent Book Publishers Association, and a past president of the Mid-Atlantic Book Publishers Association.

Dr. McIntire's articles have appeared in such publications as the Journal of Behavioral Education, Contemporary Psychology, Psychology Today, and the American Journal of Psychology. His columns are currently featured on the Parenting section of the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies website as well as in the Martinsburg Journal.
Workshops, Speaking Engagements, Media Appearances
Dr. McIntire is a popular workshop leader and speaker on parenting topics. He has been a guest on a number of radio and TV talk shows, including NPR radio's "Opinions" and the American Health TV Network's "Ask the Pediatrician," and has led numerous talks on parenting strategies, especially for teens and students.
