Grampa, father, author, and columnist, Roger McIntire (Professor Emeritus) taught child psychology and principles in family counseling and therapy at the University of Maryland for 32 years. He is the author of many books including, Raising Good Kids in Tough Times, Teenagers and Parents: 10 Steps for a Better Relationship, and College Keys: Getting In, Doing Well, Avoiding the Four Big Mistakes, all published by Summit Crossroads Press.

Dr. McIntire is a frequent guest on radio and TV talk shows, popular speaker at parent-teacher and counselor meetings and seminars, and a weekly columnist.He raised three children now out of college and has two grandchildren.

Dr. McIntire was a consultant and teacher of teachers in preschools, grade schools, high schools and colleges.
