 Our goal is to help parents, children, and families through our tips, columns, resources, and books. Dr. Roger W. McIntire, our company president, believes that the best prospect for a child's happiness is a parent content and confident with the parenting job. The guidelines he suggests are proven effective and help parents develop the self-confidence to say, "I handle most situations with my child in a good way, a thoughtful way, and I am in control of my reactions."
Dr. McIntire, father of three, was professor of psychology at the University of Maryland for 32 years. He writes a weekly newspaper column and is the award-winning author of: Raising Good Kids in Tough Times; Teenagers & Parents: 10 Steps for a Better Relationship; College Keys: Getting In, Doing Well, Avoiding the 4 Big Mistakes; and Enjoy Successful Parenting: Practical Strategies for Parents of Children 2-12.
